The terms that apply when you use the Helios Veterinary Vision website, including our online referral form.

These terms apply to your use of this website, operated by Helios Veterinary Vision (“Helios”, “we”, “us”). By using the website, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the website.

Information on this website

The content on this website, including articles and descriptions of eye conditions and treatments, is general information. It isn’t veterinary advice and isn’t a substitute for an examination by a veterinarian. Every pet is different, so please speak with your veterinarian about your pet’s needs.

In an emergency, contact your family veterinarian or the nearest emergency veterinary hospital right away. Our website and referral form aren’t monitored around the clock.

Referrals

Helios is a referral-based practice. The online referral form is for veterinarians and their clinic teams. If you submit a referral, you agree that:

  • you’re a veterinary professional, or are submitting it on a veterinarian’s behalf;
  • the information you provide is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge;
  • you’re able to share the client’s contact details and the patient’s records with us for the referral.

Submitting a referral doesn’t guarantee an appointment. We review each referral and contact the client to book. For emergency cases, please also call us.

Appointments, estimates and fees

Appointments, treatment, estimates, fees and payment are arranged directly with our team and are governed by the consent forms and estimates provided at the time of care, not by these website terms.

Using this website

Please don’t misuse the website. For example, don’t try to gain unauthorized access to it or its systems, interfere with how it works, submit false or misleading information, or use automated tools to submit forms.

Intellectual property

The content on this website, including text, images, logos and design, belongs to Helios or the people who license it to us, and is protected by copyright and other laws. You may view and print pages for your personal, non-commercial use. Please ask us before using our content in any other way.

Links to other websites

We may link to other websites for your convenience. We aren’t responsible for their content or privacy practices.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

We work to keep this website accurate and available, but it’s provided “as is”, and we can’t promise it will always be complete, current or free of errors or interruptions. To the extent permitted by law, Helios isn’t liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this website.

After hours

For current patients

If your pet has an urgent eye concern outside our regular hours, please contact your nearest emergency veterinary hospital. You’re also welcome to leave us a message, and we’ll reach out as soon as we reopen to discuss next steps.

Not a patient yet?

If your pet’s eye suddenly looks painful or swollen, or they seem to have lost vision, don’t wait for a referral or appointment. For these or any urgent concerns, contact your nearest emergency veterinary hospital right away.
